The best part of our Buddymoon in Folegandros 🇬🇷 was that we started with eight close friends, and as each day passed and friends moved on to their next adventure, we were gently eased back into being together after such a natural high from all the love.

Im Englischen gibt es ein Sprichwort: „Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater“: dass man bei dem Versuch, etwas Schlechtes oder Unerwünschtes loszuwerden, nicht versehentlich auch etwas Gutes und Wertvolles mit wegwerfen sollte. In meinem Persönlichkeitsausmistprozess der letzen Jahre, habe ich mich teilweise von Seiten meines Selbst distanziert, die mir in meinem ruhigen, Norddeutschen Leben zu groß vorkamen und im Alltag nicht sonderlich viel Platz einnehmen konnten. Ich habe mich angepasst, weil anpassen immer einfacher ist, als über sich selber hinaus zu wachsen. Diese Frau - die wilde laute witzige theatralische ungebändigte freigebige spielerische unbeschämte Muse, war lange auf dem Ausmistehaufen. Doch konnte sie dieses Wochenende, in einem sicheren Rahmen, gehalten von Menschen die meine Sätze vollenden, über vier Tage Fahrt aufnehmen. Ich habe dauergelacht, getanzt, geschwommen, viel geweint, richtig viel Scheiße gelabert! Ich war ganz in meinem Körper, und ich muss gestehen: Embodied me will Muse sein! 💁🏼‍♀️💥

May Mayhem. A month of art fairs, auctions, openings, galas, dinner celebrations, soccer matches, and countless miles traveling back and forth to spend precious time with my father.
A month lived at full speed, ending with saying goodbye to him, and then a heart full of grief but gratitude for the time we had together.
Hoping June brings a little stillness, quiet moments, and space to reflect. ❤️

Last chance to be on time with my 'New York in May' moment/s 🌷💕

Here goes:

It was festive. It was verdant. It was joyous. It was hot & cold. It rained. And it poured-- in bountiful bursts -- inspiration and adoration in ways that only happen in NYC (at least in that famously NYC kinda way, which is to say *kismet* and *full-on*). It was luscious. Delicious. And non fkn stop.

Where
I got to see and show @the_____objects in full glory and share them with my some of favorite folks including @fifimackay / with special thanks to Krizia and Rachel, Wendy & Lisa.

I also got to see and celebrate creators citywide from design showrooms @lawsonfenning to #nadaartfair to @tiwa_select to @afternoonlight to a number of galleries (like my neighbors @theholenyc and neighbors in Santa Fe @thevalleytaos & @smokethemoon )

I supped at @printempsnewyork and sipped orange wine (and matcha & sake & lemonade) with friends that I call sisters.

I met with more than a few absolutely lovely clients - looking at stones and designing custom pieces for engagements, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays.

I was blessed to run into old friends who are also 'grey hair don't care' 🩶 @brookklausing and the ever magical @shoplifterart 🧚🏼‍♂️

And I returned to Taos with a cold lol - but you can't scare me away #nyc. I'll be back in no time!

One year down, forever to go! Still figuring out who I am beyond my diagnosis exactly one year ago, but loving the bits of me that have survived the cut and are ready for 2.0. Also time to ditch the serious vibes and shake off this winter funk - fake it till I feel fabulous again! 🌶️💪💥
