🎥✨ Meet Chef Ryan, the heart and soul behind the culinary magic at O-iza in Fresno. In this candid interview, the Executive Chef opens up about his Filipino upbringing and the deep connection he has to his roots 🌱 He shares how his heritage influences him with every dish he makes, adding a unique Filipino flair to the fine dining experience at the Japanese restaurant at River Park. (EVERYTHING is delicious there, but you MUST try the mango panna cotta! 🥭) Through his beautiful and emotional journey, Chef Ryan reflects on the challenges, pride, and passion that fuel his work in the kitchen. And with #FILFIESTA559 around the corner, his excitement to celebrate Filipino culture through food is contagious. We’re so proud to have Chef Ryan as part of our community and are grateful for his support and excitement about the festival. FIL FIESTA 559 is being held on Saturday, October 26 from 10a-5p at Fresno City College. This event is funded in part by the City of Fresno Measure P Expanded Access to Arts and Culture Fund, administered by the Fresno Arts Council. It is also made possible through a partnership with CMAC. We hope to see you there! 🎥: @smbdy.now #FILFIESTA559 #OizaFresno #FilipinoFlair #FilipinoPride #filipino #🇵🇭 #FAHM

❤️🇵🇭 What a night! Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s special Filipino American History Month edition of Art Hop. It was a dream to team up with some of our favorite Filipino-owned businesses, as a way to way to celebrate our culture. Thank you to artists @theartofracquelle, @_abbers, @lovealot24, @art.of.alesis, and @ig_robe for contributing their pieces which will be on display at HBHQ through the month. We are also so grateful for the vendors who popped up: @bobasilog, @themasarapcompany, @reclaimedmtgoods, @hapacaliforniacoffee, and @groovesnflows ❤️ Our entertainment was PHENOMENAL and featured special guests @macchudamone, who kept the vibes high with the music he curated and @arbiegrace_, who graced us with her amazing voice. Last but not least, we are SO grateful for the amazing energy brought by our BFFs @magkaisafilipinoclub, who wrapped up our evening by performing four traditional dances for us. To everyone who visited, (and said hi to Tita Jay 😭) we hope you enjoyed this celebration! It means so much that you took the time to visit ✨ PS: should we do it again orrrrrr…. 👀 #ArtHop #hashtagbalance #fresno #559 #hashtagmaganda #filipino #FAHM #downtownfresno

We’re loving continuing to decorate and make The Red Barn Connection homey with little trinkets from our local favorites. We are intentional about all things Red Barn related. From the plants, furniture, art, etc. everything is hand selected and made by yours truly, to help set the vibe right ✨ We just stumbled across @hilltop_homeandgarden which is right down the street, recently opened, badass woman owned, in Coarsegold town center, where they are bringing life and love to our area 💖 Since they are also inside a red barn (like us), we consider them part of our red barn family and we can’t get enough of their goodies! The newest additions to the Red Barn are the sunflower 🌻 outdoor ornament and the crystal glass sun-catcher 🔮☀️ #lovelovelove #theredbarnconnection #theredbarncoarsegold #hilltophomeandgarden #heal #ground #retreat #redbarn #sister #trinket #coarsegold #yosemite #staycation #decor #home #love #hashtagpretty #decorinsporation

“What I love most about [teaching] is knowing I play a role in helping each of my students in their own journey of self-exploration…and that as they learn and grow, they’re impacting the lives of everyone else around them. To be an ambassador for yoga is truly a gift and a privilege, and I love knowing that just by doing something that I love I am capable of making a difference in this world.” Thank you @rpmpr for the thoughtful writeup on our founder, Christine Rose! Visit the link in our bio to read why the Central Valley based PR company featured her as one of their Fierce Femmes. In it, she shares why teaching is so important to her and what she’s most proud of.
