Who doesn’t want to go on an adventure to find a golden cabbage? I can tell you my class certainly does (me too to be honest)! Tiny Hercules by @jonlockcomics and @nichangell is an absolute beaut! Bright, funny and engaging, just what our little readers love 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks so much to @_reading_rocks_ for my copies of these gorgeous books, my class are very lucky and I’m very grateful.

A huge thankyou to comic book creators Jon Lock and Nich Angell for one of our biggest events ever! Local schools absolutely loved hearing all about their Tiny Hercules series, comics, creativity and sharing art with friends.

Their wonderful presentation had teachers and students laughing and inspired to draw themselves.

He’s brave! He’s strong! He’s the size of a jam jar! He’s Tiny Hercules, the world’s tiniest hero – and he’s winning his way back to Tiny Olympus, one legendary deed at a time!

Tiny Hercules has been banished to Earth as a punishment for ruining Tiny Zeus's bodacious party. To get home he must complete twelve legendary tasks but it isn't going to be easy – even for a demigod. Crash landing in the peaceful town of Chutney-on-Toast, Tiny Hercules soon spots his first task: defeating a lion! (or maybe it's a cat!)

We love bringing authors into schools for visits. If you are interested in working with us in the future then please email events.norwich@waterstones.com

📚 Ready. Set. Read! 📚

We’ve been a little obsessed with Tiny Hercules in my classroom…

When I brought out this awesome word search AND the chance for them to design their own Monster Crew member, I may have won the title of Best Teacher for the day!

We had the best time creating our crew members and the conversation spilled into break, lunch and beyond.

📖 What a win for the @_reading_rocks_ free reading resources and there’s so much more still to come.

🌟 Make sure you check out the free resources too for these amazing LKS2 book bundle.

Today was just the best day!!! Laura had the absolute pleasure of doing 2 school events with @jonlockcomics and @nichangell to promote the second book in their hilarious graphic series, Tiny Hercules. These two guys are as genuine as it gets, and this series deserves to be shouted from the rooftops! If you have graphic novel fans at home, who love books like Dog Man, Bunny Vs Monkey and Investigators, then they will LOVE this new series!
Seeing authors and illustrators inspire young kids like these two did today never gets old, and is a real perk to doing our job. A big thanks goes to Jerry Clay Academy and Wrenthorpe Academy for hosting us today. We hope you have some very inspired young readers!

📚 What A Day! 📚

I will treasure the excitement my amazing class had when they discovered their very special books had arrived for them! I couldn’t resist recording their reaction and I hope it makes you smile like it did me.

We’re SO excited to start our reading journey and we couldn’t resist diving straight in to read the books we had chosen.

They were talking about the books, sharing their favourite parts so far, enjoying the illustrations and laughing along the way. They felt very lucky to have their own books to treasure forever as we delve into this exciting opportunity.

Now I will go off to start absorbing the amazing resources ready for us to dive in.

🌟 Which book would you read first?

📚✨ What a fabulous afternoon! ✨📚

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the wonderful authors behind *Tiny Hercules* — Jon Lock and Nich Angell — for an incredible author visit for Years 1–6! 💙

Our pupils had such a fantastic time taking part in a fun draw-along, enjoying a brilliant Q&A, and meeting the authors. Every child had the special opportunity to have their individual book signed and even enjoy a one-to-one conversation with Jon and Nich. 📖✍️

A huge thank you to Linghams Booksellers for giving our pupils this fantastic opportunity to meet the authors and bring the magic of books and storytelling to life! 🌟📚

What an afternoon to remember! ❤️

What a fabulous afternoon we’ve had with Jon Lock and Nich Angell at Northway Primary School!

We’ve learnt all about comic writing and illustration, with a Tiny Hercules drawing tutorial too.

The duo kindly signed copies of Tiny Hercules Golden Cabbage Chaos for us to sell at the shop too! So if you fancy a copy, come to Linghams or order online

We've been shortlisted at @thespeakies! Congratulations to @bigpunchstudios and the incredible @tombabbage94 who has done the most incredible job of bringing Tiny Hercules and all of it's brilliant characters to life in audio🎙️✨🥂📚

It's not an easy job to adapt a comic book into an audio only format, but this audiobook is as much a treat for your ears as the physical book is for your eyes!

Tiny Hercules Golden Cabbage Chaos by @jonlockcomics , @nichangell and Published by @macmillankidsuk

Tiny Hercules is back and this time to find a Golden Cabbage, however Tiny Zerus has other ideas - he wants Tiny Hercules to fail!

Can Tiny Hercules succeed?

My youngest loves this series. He always looks forward to the next instalment.
It’s definitely hilarious and lots and lots of fun!
