Great day at #GuildfordGames festival, nice to see people enjoying our various displays of games from Guildford, especially fun to see some 4 player deathmatches on Quake 3 revolution!

(also our 13.03 on @stellarentertainment #NFS vanishing point challenge remains unbeaten…)

A 6AM trek down to Guildford with HMCC clubmate Graham for @guildford.games festival, where @hmtruants were the charity partner this year. We raised a bundle of cash and made a load of friends -- huge thanks to longtime HMT supporters Jason, Linda, Lauran whole team for having us down and to Graham and Laila for being absolute terminators at the raffle table. We’ll be back. #heavymetaltruants #teenagecancertrust #nordoffrobbins #childline #savethechildren #guildford #guildfordgames

Thoughts from Greece 🇬🇷

After giving our all over the past couple of weeks and putting in one of our best performances, it is difficult to only come home with second in the championship.

We knew it was going to be tough as Rally Greece was a winner-takes-all scenario for the Junior WRC title. As expected the conditions were really rough and challenging on the car and tyres. Unfortunately the last of our three punctures on Friday came early in a stage so we had to stop and replace the wheel. It left us two minutes behind with nine stages remaining.

In the end, we ran out of rally miles to claw back the time lost to Robert and Julia. Congratulations to Robert on his title - he has been really fast this year and he drove a great rally in Greece managing the lead over the past two days.

From a performance side, I am really happy with our pace, coming to within 17 seconds of the win at the finish. We were trying to be sensible in our approach to make it through the incredibly rough Acropolis stages - it was just impossible to avoid those punctures.

I suppose it is a case of what could have been. It is disappointing to miss out on the Junior WRC title and the future opportunities it offers for the second year in a row.

But we have to take the positives from our performances this year, I felt a good step inside the car this weekend.

I am chuffed that Brian has done enough to seal the Junior WRC Co-drivers’ Championship. He has been instrumental and more than deserves that title.

We had a good week with our friend Willie Mavitty who helped with things to make sure we had the best chance possible. From the test, through three days of recce across quite a wide area.

I am really thankful for all the support we have had from sponsors throughout the year and everyone involved in the fundraiser last month.

🥈 Rally Greece
🥈 Junior WRC

Jon and Brian round out Rally Greece with another rapid stage-winning time, fastest by 15.4 seconds.

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough to haul back the gap from Friday evening’s puncture. Well done to Robert Virves and Julia Thulin on their victory and championship success.

Lots to be proud of in Jon’s runner-up Junior WRC finish including a nice co-drivers’ title for Brian!

Huge thanks and shout out to those who helped get us here, that alone was a big effort, and we will always appreciate that support.
