a cozy and wondrous weekend that nourished my spirit ❄️💫 after what’s felt like a multi-year gestation and initiation of sorts, the call to emerge and share more of myself and my offerings feels loud and clear

bopping around the city with my loves @alexalombardo and @marisarando, how lucky two of my dearest friends have moved back after years away 🥰 lovely afternoon at @babybluesny and @kalimera.nyc. delectable natural wines at @moonflower_nyc

a daytrip to CT with my beloved SVA herbalist community that always leaves me feeling understood and inspired

offered my first paid oracle readings!!

led a very success virtual healing workshop on making herbal lollipops and activating the inner child 🍭

stepping out and stepping up, having a freaking blast doing it!!! life is warm and lovely even with all the uncertainty in the air. I will always hold on to what matters: love, connection, care, growth and truth🙏🏾

A year in Germany has come to an end, and my heart is full of gratitude for the friends and colleagues who have inspired me in ways I never expected.

You’ve demonstrated how even the smallest ripples can create waves of change in the world around us.

Grateful for your guidance in helping me, someone who was raised to believe that being demure and quiet were virtues, learn how to speak and act in bold manner. Next meeting point Istanbul or Berlin? 💛

It just hit me that I passed a five-year anniversary of sorts. Five years ago, I left my apartment one afternoon intending to run 2 miles around the Calle Amsterdam loop in Mexico City. I remember hitting that 2-mile mark and realizing a 5K was just a little further. I felt good, so I kept going—first to 5 miles, then to 6.5. I wondered, “Could I hit 10?” And I did. Even then, I still felt good. So I Googled the distance for a half marathon and realized I was less than 3 miles away. So I kept running. By 8:30 PM, I had finished an impromptu half marathon. I stopped, hobbled into a 7-Eleven, bought an Electrolit, and walked home, passing people enjoying their evening. I felt proud—not just of what I’d done, but of the quiet anonymity of it all.

It was only a few months earlier that I downloaded the Nike running app to support my then-girlfriend, who was training for the New York City marathon. I’d send her cheers from the couch while she logged miles, and eventually, I started feeling guilty. She was out there adding mileage, and I was just sitting there. That’s when I noticed the app had an intro to running course. So I gave it a shot. That course led me to the impromptu half marathon I just described.

If you had told me back then that running would become such a big part of my life—that I’d even consider myself a runner—I would’ve laughed. In high school, I was the least athletic kid around, avoiding sports at all costs. So the fact that I’m now just weeks away from running the New York City marathon, my first full marathon, still blows my mind.

As I reflect on this five-year milestone, I’ve been scrolling through a mountain of selfies and shaky videos from my runs, and honestly, I feel proud. Through running, I’ve unlocked a part of myself I didn’t know existed. I’ve watched my muscles grow, blisters form, and calluses build. I’ve dropped 60 pounds and become faster and stronger. I’ve learned that I’m resilient and committed—qualities I’ve always known were there, but running has reaffirmed.
