There's no shortcut. There never was.

It took him time to see it. He started out focused on training people. It was only later, sitting back and watching the impact that training was having, that he realised what was actually happening: people were getting better at life.

August 2020, the year coaches @mjd_smith @tomwalkerfitness @robjonesendurance and @re_foster chose to find a new limit.

50km bike, 50km run, 50km bike, starting at sunrise.

As the day went on, the heat rose, topping out at 50 Degree C as they entered the 2nd half of the run.

Keeping cool and calm became the key factor for the whole day. Food became impossible to tolerate due to limited blood flow to the gut.

Finishing the 150 km came down purely to the mind.

We're extremely proud of our coaches who are constantly looking for ways to improve themselves, not just academically but through their own physical challenges. All four coaches learnt a lot on this day and continue to use the lessons in their coaching practice 6 years on.
