I’m not a runner.

This Saturday, I’m running my first official 5K at the Beneva Marathon. It started as a personal goal, nothing more.

I’ve been weightlifting for over 8 years and doing calisthenics on and off for the past 4. But running was never really my thing.

A few days ago, I ran my first ever 5K nonstop.

Tired, anemic, uncomfortable… and so damn proud of myself.

It made me think about how rewarding it can be when we give ourselves that extra push. When we try a different road. When we do something we’re not used to doing and realize, wait… I can actually do this.

I think that’s what every achievement teaches us.

Sometimes you just have to step outside what you know, try something different and give yourself a chance to surprise yourself.

Women can do anything they want to do. We just have to believe it, try it and keep going.

One goal at a time.

5K this Saturday.
10K next. 🏃🏻‍♀️✨

I’ll keep it short and sweet. 🙏🏼

A few weeks ago, I sat down with @marianaoka for an interview. She asked me about my journey, my work, and what truly matters to me. As I answered her questions, I realized something.

Not every day is easy. Not every day is fun. But there’s something good and exciting in every single day.

I’ve met so many people over the years, and one thing I’ll always be grateful for is that I’ve chosen to see life through my heart, not through my goals, my bank account, my material possessions, or any earthly things.

I’ve always been a people person, and I’ve remained one. That’s what makes me feel rich every day. When I get to a bike meet and I’m greeted with laughter and hugs, it feels like heaven.

As I climbed the corporate world, I realized that greed is often the only reason we keep wanting more when we already have enough.

At the end of the day, we’ll all end up in the same dark hole. 🕳️ I’m not being pessimistic. It’s simply the reality of this life.

So love hard, laugh hard, and live with passion. Be as colorful as you can be. Change your looks, your mind, and your circle as many times as you need to, until you truly feel at home.

Today, I can honestly say I feel at home in many different places. My bike people. My fitness people. The Hive. My real estate people. And, believe it or not, my public speaking crew. 🙏🏼
