"And now it's like you're part of the art."

Plyzitron on why she keeps working in this field: art used to be something you looked at, said nice, and walked away from. Now your own heart rate can be the feed, a rule you set decides what it does, and the particles on screen are your pulse.

Last month I was in Bangkok to give a talk at @bangkok_kunsthalle about visual and installation work with @touchdesigner — to one of my favourite communities out there.

I spoke about Kokonotsu no Yugure, In Transit, and some of the graphic work I’ve been making in TouchDesigner. And the people I met there were the real highlight.

Thank you @tdbkk.meetup, @zdepth.de and @plyzitron for having me. This community taught me most of what I know. Being able to give a little back felt like coming full circle. 🫶

Water is not just an element; it is the very genesis of thought. 💧

When I observe the sheer complexity and the dynamic flow of this fountain inside The Egg, it brings me back to the early discoveries of neurons and synapses. It mirrors that awe-inspiring architecture of the human mind: the multiplication of billions of cells, interacting, firing, and allowing us to evolve.

Yet, none of this intricate biological dance—no spark of genius, no evolution, no life—can exist without water. It is the primordial conductor. Every rhythmic drip here is a visualization of an idea traveling across a vast neuronal network, moving from the ethereal unconscious into reality.

A pure reflection on the origins of life and the mind.

Inside The Egg, the idea hasn't finished happening yet.

Upon entering this sanctuary in the heart of Bangkok, form ceases to be static, becoming an uninterrupted continuity. The walls are adorned with an undulating pattern, an organic weave reminiscent of the meticulous work of woven bamboo a craft deeply rooted in Thai culture. This sculptural wave repeats infinitely, stretching the very concept of time and dilating space to illustrate a world without end.

This perpetual movement is the physical reflection of free thought. It is the mind undulating, searching, and finding its way before the thought is fully formed. At the center of this immersive space, the relentless fall of water drops imposes a steady rhythm that transforms into a true mantra. This natural acoustics acts as a purification process, washing away the external chaos to reconnect the visitor to the essential.

The artwork transcends mere aesthetics to become a true perceptive instrument. This is not about dogmatic spirituality, but philosophical elevation: as Plato once taught, this geometry of the infinite "will draw the soul towards truth" and projects us toward an absolute state of consciousness.

Stand in the room long enough, and you are watching your own thought happen in real time.
