At the moment nothing brings me more satisfaction than these marbled porcelain coffee cups that I’ve been making. From staining the clay myself, to throwing the cups, glazing them, pulling them out of the kiln, to making my first coffee in them, every step has been fun. Of course there’s been fails along the way, but that’s part of the process!

Given my obsession, I’ve got quite a number of these ready for my upcoming markets, starting with @curatedmakers at @batterseapwrstn 15th / 16th August. So if you want a super fun and colourful coffee cup (or bowl, mini vase or candle) do come and find me at Battersea.

If you can’t make it to Battersea I’ve also just launched a pre-order option on my website, so you can choose your colourway and get your own cup in 4-6 weeks time!!

We’ve been watching Simon’s Coffeeshop Chronicles for a while, and last week we finally got to meet him in person ☕️✨
Simon’s love for coffee is real. His support for independent cafés across London is exactly what London Coffee Guide stands for — and on top of that, he makes the most beautiful ceramics (seriously, just look at those coffee cups at @ceramicsbysimon 🤍)
We’re so proud to officially welcome Simon as a London Coffee Guide ambassador.
Big things coming — and lots of great coffee along the way 👀☕️

Tomorrow is my last market of the year and you can find me at @craftyfoxmarket in King’s Cross. I’ll be inside the Granary Building just by the Dishoom entrance. I’m really excited to bring my latest work and hopefully help people find Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

One week to go! Next weekend I’m back home in Bradford to take part in @saltaireinspired Winter Makers Fair taking place Saturday 25th - Sunday 26th in Victoria Hall, Saltaire BD18 3JS.

Fun fact I think the last time I was in Victoria Hall I was performing in the brass band as a child, probably playing the Euphonium pretty badly 😂

So if you fancy a slice of Guinness chocolate cake or a very chocolatey brown butter cookie, or one of a range of other cakes available, come and give us a visit. There’s also a raffle with lots of prizes, including two signed cookbooks from @theboywhobakes

When my two passions of coffee and ceramics come together! Brewed up some delicious coffee over the bank holiday weekend using one of my handmade V60 coffee drippers and mugs which I’ve loved making recently. Just makes that coffee taste that little bit better!

Today is my 40th birthday, which of course means it’s also @theboywhobakes 40th. And while he is most definitely the baker of the family I couldn’t let him make his own birthday cake this year. So I made us this sweet and salty chocolate cake with dulce de leche frosting (which is obviously one of his own recipes) served on one of my handmade plates. Not a bad way to mark the occasion, and it will be followed by plenty of good food today.

Believe it or not, but over the long bank holiday weekend I turn 40 and next week marks 12 months in my pottery journey. So to mark both occasions I’ve got a little shop update coming later today.

I’m really pleased with this latest collection of work. Alongside a good range of coffee cups, there’s mugs, bowls, a couple of plates and even a matcha bowl and V60 coffee dripper. All available on my website at 7pm tonight!
