Another great year at the Washington State High School Track and Field Championships , this meet is really starting to feel like a family reunion, my pops and my uncle came out to support, had our annual meet up with my brother @speedmapps, ran into some former @spokane_trackxc team mates and got to watch so many great kids do great things 🚀🚀🚀 Connected with lots of future Sasquatch, this year was a movie!

I’m just a son yearning to make my parents proud. The last 4 years I’ve been nominated for Best Real Estate Broker for 425’s Best In Business. I was convinced it was rigged until I received the notice that a small town son of immigrants won the award 🙏🏽

I know this will sound silly. It’s just a popularity contest and the award doesn’t mean anything… but it means a lot to me. Like many immigrant homes, you know the feeling of not being loved like how everyone else is loved. Love for us was through acts of service from our parents but it wasn’t enough. We want that hug, that “son I love you” or “I’m proud of you”. We are raised with the idea that we are supposed to be more successful than our successors bc of the sacrifices they made. So all I ever wanted to do is make my parents proud and allow them to feel good about the man I’ve become while they were still around. Took all my life but my parents finally shared those words with me.

But I couldn’t have done it without your support. Each and every single person who’s ever wished the best for me, nominated and voted for me, supported my family in any way, shared a post, wrote a good review, referred me to a family/friend, or just spoke positive about my family and I. Only with your support was I able to be named 425’s Best Real Estate Broker. Only with your accountability was I able to stay focused. I’ve been fired for projects I helped build, I’ve lost battles, sales were weak asf at times, not every home is a mansion… but I share it all with you bc I’m human. For the most part you see everything, not just the highlights but the low lights too. I share my entire journey with you and for those who’ve stuck around this far, thank you. For those who’s been rocking with this page since the Happy Sock photo grid days, thank you. Thank you for helping make this possible. Truly. Couldn’t have done it without my village ✊🏽 Guru Nation

Uncut, unedited, raw footage of clarification for a high school hurdler struggling with the 2 step drill.

To be honest I have never ever done a 2 step drill in my entire coaching career but the kids helped me spread my wings.

Set up:
1️⃣ mark 15 baby steps between 5-10 hurdles

2️⃣ split the hurdles between 2 lanes in a alternating fashion similar to chess board

3️⃣ set hurdles at desired height. (Start low and progress to higher height)

4️⃣ start drilling. 3-4x trail, lead, middle.

I have come to like this drill because it’s less time consuming and helps athletes get extremely comfortable with using the opposite leg. I would recommend drilling individual legs before installing a 2 step drill but it’s just my suggestion.

If anyone has a better method I’m open to hearing about it. Can always learn better or more!

Nobody coming to save you also implies nobody is coming to stop you.

Keep on steppin’. You’re clear.

Training hard but not getting faster????

You put in the work.
But the results don’t show up.

Then suddenly:
Playing time drops.
Your spot on the team feels uncertain.

The problem isn’t effort.

It’s direction. 🗺️

Speed is a skill that has to be coached and developed intentionally.

My role is simple:
Guide athletes through the process of becoming faster, more explosive, and more confident movers.

Because when your speed improves…

The game changes.

If you’re tired of working hard without seeing results, let’s fix that.

DM “FAST” to get started.

Another day another opportunity to get work in with @miahmmlax._

Scholarships aren’t offered just because your talented…
they’re offered in the quiet days of preparation.

The sessions where no one is watching.
The reps where you choose to stay locked in.

Speed development is about stacking small wins:

• quality mechanics
• rhythm under fatigue
• consistency week after week

Athletes:
Are you stacking days… or waiting for motivation?

Outdoor Season Loading…

Got loose today with some hurdle rhythm + endurance work.

Too many athletes only practice hurdles at race spacing… but races are chaotic. You need rhythm and adaptability.

Workout:

Wicket Shuttle Hurdles
3x4H (3min recovery)

8min rest

Shuttle Hurdles
(3” shorter than race height)
3x3H (3min recovery)

We jammed the spacing on purpose.

Why?

Because great hurdlers don’t just run the pattern…
they master the rhythm.

And a rule in our group is…….

Never run practice hurdles at regular spacing. NEVER. 😂

Hurdlers:
Do you train rhythm… or just run reps?
