I don’t think you need to have the next five years mapped out and here’s why... 🌱

One of the things I kept noticing while recording season one of How to Grow was just how few of my guests had followed a perfectly straight line to where they are now.

🌻They followed interests.
📚Changed careers.
🍄Tried things.
🪱Got things wrong.
🌱Learnt something new.
💫Met the right person.
🌼Changed direction again.

And somewhere along the way, they built lives and careers that perhaps they couldn’t have planned for five years earlier. 🥬🫑🥕

Maybe we put too much pressure on ourselves to know exactly where we’re going (especially with so many systems endeavouring to make our lives efficient!), when sometimes it’s enough to know what we’d like a little more of and start moving in that direction.

You don’t need the whole plan. Just somewhere worth growing towards. 🌻✨

ĀKĀŚA RECIPES — 01

CACAO SALT-BAKED BEETROOT
with cultured cashew cream & nettle pesto

Cacao beyond the cup.

The first in a series of recipes created for ĀKĀŚA by wild vegan chef and forager Peter “Chippy” Grant @thegathererwild, exploring cacao as an ingredient across sweet and savoury cooking.

Here, finely chopped cacao is combined with cumin, coriander and fennel to form an earthy, aromatic coating for salt-baked beetroot, served with cultured cashew cream and a nettle and pumpkin seed pesto.

Rich, tangy, herbal and unexpected — a different expression of cacao altogether.

A love letter to the natural world, is coming to Primal Harvest Gathering.

A film shot entirely on Super 8, this BFI documentary is stitched together from footage gathered by collaborators across the world. Human hands and animal movement edited into a single, breathing frame.

The secret strength of the film is how it includes the film-makers themselves, underscoring the continuum between nature, animals and people. Which is why it is only fitting that this is being screened at Primal Harvest Gathering, a land regeneration gathering that leaves both people and places better than how they are found.

Over three immersive days you’ll learn the old, land-based skills of mushroom foraging and medicine making, fire tending, beekeeping, and sow wildflower bulbs in the meadows, each one helping regenerate the soil of Sheepdrove Organic Farm as you go, together.

You’ll eat locally grown organic food and sit in workshops that support you to build businesses with life at the centre. Primal is a gathering that restores people, forests & ecosystems, and we are delighted to welcome Super Nature to the experience.

The Gulls are a four piece rock and roll band only to be described as a soulful, delicious, bout of whiplash. Evocative lyrics, unique songs, high energy and experts at creating an atmosphere that will blow your face off. Hailing from Blackpool, Brighton and France, the lads are a cacophony of vibes and rock and roll spirit.
