A few words from Jay on World Mental Health Day 💙💚

What would I tell my younger self? That’s it’s okay to feel how you feel as I have a mental health disorder called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and it doesn’t define me and it doesn’t mean I am a horrible, weird person who doesn’t deserve to be here.

TALKHUB was set up in February 2020 to provide men a space to feel like they can come and talk and not feel alone like I had many times in my younger and adult life.

I would never of thought when I was a kid that I would be doing what I do now as I was quiet and low on confidence. I feel blessed to be able to do what I do right now 💙

It’s good to talk lads 💙

Another clip from episode 1 of the real life series by @clinical_partners to talk about masking whilst in school and turning compulsions in to mental ones. @venessascott_uk

This was the 1st episode talking about OCD in childhood v adulthood with another 3 episodes to be released over the coming months.

We hope this can help others who have OCD to not feel alone and to educate those who don’t fully understand this debilitating disorder.

Check out @ocdukcharity @ocdaction @treatmyocd @liverpoolocdsupportgroup if you are struggling.

#BBCLiveLessons #BBC500Words
If you missed our BBC 500 Words Live Lesson this week, remember you can catch up now, with your class, at https://www.bbc.co.uk/livelessons #primaryeducation

500 Words, the UK’s largest story writing competition for 5-11 year-olds, is now open for entries! Make sure you submit stories before the deadline, at 9pm, Friday 6 November.
The competition celebrates children’s creativity and imagination, encouraging children from across the UK to create an original story in 500 words or fewer.
There are two age categories: 5-7 and 8-11 year-olds.
Spelling, punctuation and grammar are not marked - as has always been the case for 500 Words, it’s all about our writers’ brilliant creativity!
The celebrity panel of judges include Malorie Blackman, Charlie Higson, Francesca Simon, Sir Lenny Henry, Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Rose Ayling-Ellis.

I couldn’t be more delighted that our ‘BBC Live Lessons - Safer Internet Day 2026’ episode has been nominated for an @rtsnorthwest award in the Best School-Age Children’s Programme category! 🎉

It was a hugely ambitious live broadcast exploring Responsible AI, bringing children across the UK together to create their own AI chatbot, Maverick the virtual vulture 🦅, as they tackled questions about trust, verification, and using AI responsibly.

A MASSIVE thank you to the brilliant teams at @ctvc.ltd , BBC Teach, @nature_perspectives_ , @knowsleysafari , Kit House, and Minecraft Education, plus everyone else who helped bring Maverick and the programme to life.

Special shout-out to Joe Tasker, Georgie Barrat, Venessa Scott, Bjorn Booms, Helen Scott, Sharon Capper, Kevin Griffin, Anna Matthews, Jodie Melbourne, Alison Green, Rachael Mclean-Anderson, Sarah-Jayne Birch, Mel Bennett, Alex Harris, Dawn Langan, Sophie Brougham, Jonathan Shine, Cait Ockenden, Gal Zanir, and Abhik Palit. It was a true team effort, and it’s wonderful to see such important and inspiring content recognised by the RTS North West.

Fingers crossed for the win! 🤞

Samuel sat down with Venessa at the festival to share a bit of his testimony, and the role that Creation Fest has played in his journey with God.

We are so honoured that Samuel shared his beautiful story of God's relentless love with us, what an awesome God we serve! 🧡

I love being part of the team at Creation Fest; hanging out with old friends, meeting new ones, getting to share stories and stages and spoken word poems (!) and working harder than we do all year round yet somehow ending up joy-filled, if bodily exhausted.

It’s always a wild, beautiful adventure and 2026 was no exception.

Best weekend of the summer 😍☀️🎪

We got chatting to Irena, an artist exhibiting at Creation Fest, about creativity, Jesus, and her own prophetic art practice 🧡

We're so inspired, give it a listen to see what she'd tell an artist wanting to use their gifts for God 🌊

A peek into our prayer venue!

This place is such a special part of Creation Fest and we were lucky enough to chat to some of the prayer team about some of the things God is doing here 🧡
