one a weekend for the past five months i’ve driven approximately 12hrs to attend class led by a lovely, sarcastic and generous @7songsevensong these monthly trips are so full for me- absorbing hyper specific botanical terminology, learning greater details on so many medicinal plants and plants and plants, practicing how to travel well in this new avatar - a friend likes to deem it version 4.1 - soon to transition to version 4.2 (iykyk), letting little rue out to learn and be curious and ask a lot of questions, and the best surprise of all is - feeling the fullness of new friendships✨✨✨ here are some snaps from our plant walk in september🌿

an overdue appreciation post for my favorite place on earth @mevoearth @mevoearth is a youth-led, non-profit, market garden-style farm. through a small but mighty staff and hundreds of helping hands through volunteer and internship programs that take place throughout the year, the organic produce grown from the farm is distributed through a community shared agriculture (CSA) program, sold weekly at @ramseyfarmersmarket and to local restaurants, and donated to @tabletotable . plus, in partnership with @nynjtc , mevo works to restore, build and maintain hiking trails in northern new jersey. i’m new to instagram but only 10 photos allowed is a great injustice to all of the beautiful farm content i have! luckiest girl in the world to have spent a growing season here 🌻

Join us in celebrating this year’s bounty at our End of the Season Garden Party! July 20, noon to 6 pm. Free admission! We’ll have live music from 5 to 8 PM by @soilandsoulband, and fan-favorite finger foods by @aooafarm, along with decadent lavender deserts by @thepurplespoon. You may have tried our lemonade, but you definitely haven’t had our lemonades with some twists ~ by yours truly and @violetreed. Pop over for some pop-ups with @chloesashacandleco, @goodvibesrock_jc and @vulgarisherbs. Visit Tim with @outerlimitsqigong for some energy healing + reiki, and sit with @thehennachicks from @thebodyartbarn for some beautiful body decor. You’re welcome to bring a picnic blanket or chairs and hang out by the lavender field listening to the tunes and enjoying the treats (you can bring food in, or purchase small bites here). You’re also invited to come dressed in your best garden party attire for your last chance to take lavender field photos this year. Wildly talented photographer Laura Yost will be on-site to help with that if you’d like. (Sign up for your family or personal mini photo shoot here: book.usesession.com/s/LA5DteSEB - link in bio too) No reservations necessary for the garden party (of the century). 98 Mountain Lodge Rd, Washingtonville NY Please note: seating is extremely limited, so please bring chairs or a picnic blanket if you plan to hang out. On-site amenities include an “upgraded” port-a-potty, free drinking water, a cooling tent if it’s super hot out, and the opportunity to cross “lavender garden party” off your bucket list. Sorry, no dogs please!
