${Happy 5th Birthday to our diva girl & the one who keeps us on our toes always! 🤍 Daia Liv, it’s an honor to be your mom, and we are so incredibly blessed to call you ours. I’m so grateful that the Lord would entrust us with your life and give us a front-row seat to all that He’s doing in and through you every single day. You’ve grown into such a beautiful big girl with so much awe, wonder, and curiosity for everything around you -and I have to say, that’s been one of my favorite things to watch flourish as you’ve grown. Oh, to see the world through your big eyes, my sweet girl. May you never lose your wonder, your brave spirit, your tender heart, or that steadfast stubborn conviction of yours (which, I’ll admit, makes for some interesting moments right now 🤪). But most importantly, may you never lose your love and awe for Jesus and who He is. ${ Yesterday our Daia Liv graduated Pre-K 🎓🤍 Watching her grow into the joyful, spunky, confident little girl she is has been one of the greatest gifts of our lives. We are beyond proud of who she is and the light that she carries wherever she goes. More than anything, we are grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness over her life. Through every season, He has guided our steps, covered us in love, and given us the privilege of watching her flourish into exactly who He has created her to be. ${ Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to be me in this season of life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the mundanity of it all—to fall into the endless cycle of pondering what was, what is, and what could be. Each day, I find myself navigating through heavy thoughts and questions, all while keeping busy to avoid the answering. Motherhood is both hard and deeply rewarding, yet I’ve been wrestling with my portion—the delicate balance between purpose, desire, plans, and reality. The long days, the messy home, the endless piles of laundry, the rush to get to school on time, the dance of putting the baby down at just the right moment, the longing to carve out intentional time to invest in my marriage, the struggle to find rhythm in the chaos of an ever-changing newborn… it all feels like a constant attempt to create stability in a season that offers very little.. & Through it all, the Lord has been teaching me what it truly means to submit—to stop striving to will things forward but rather submit my will to his. He’s inviting me to allow Him the space to move, to find fullness of joy in His presence, and to recognize and acknowledge His hand in the smallest moments. It’s a daily surrender, and one I don’t always win. But even on the hard days, He’s teaching me. I’m learning. He’s gracious. And I’m grateful. & so if you’re anything like me—finding yourself in a season that feels similar—I want to encourage you to keep fighting to surrender, because there is such beauty and freedom found in the letting go—in trusting that even here, even now, God is working no matter how mundane it may feel. 🫶🏼 by @thegameofchess_$
