POSTS STORIES REELS

I wanted to share the story of how Highly Catered came to life, the dream that inspired it, and how with a lot of effort and dedication, I was able to make it a reality.
It hasn't been easy, but the joy of seeing this dream come true is something that stays with you forever. It's a reminder that, no matter how hard the journey, the happiness of following your heart is worth every step ✨️💚

As Suicide Prevention Month comes to an end, let’s talk about the people we don’t always see.

The ones still here.

The ones who wake up every morning carrying thoughts they rarely talk about. The ones who are tired, but keep going anyway.

Because passive suicidal ideation doesn’t always look like crying in bed or being unable to get out of the house.

Sometimes it looks like laughing.
Dancing.
Cooking.
Working.
Building a business.
Traveling.
Taking care of everyone else.
Living in paradise.

Sometimes, it looks like someone who appears completely okay while quietly fighting thoughts of I’m not good enough. I can’t do this anymore. I don’t want to be here.

Survival doesn’t always look like survival.

So as September comes to an end, let’s keep talking about the survivors, too. The people who are still choosing to stay. The people fighting those thoughts every single day.

Because suicide prevention isn’t just a month. For some people, it’s a daily decision to keep going.

If this is something you experience, you are not alone. As someone on the other side of it, I share my story. And if you feel safe enough to share your story please do, maybe your vulnerability can become the reason someone else realizes they aren’t alone either.

Let’s keep the conversation going

Y’all know I’m happiest in the kitchen.

There’s something about taking a bunch of ingredients, putting my hands on it, tasting as I go, and watching it slowly become something that carries a piece of where I come from.

Lately, I’ve been back in my kitchen cooking, testing, tweaking, and bringing these Congolese flavors to life in a way that feels like me.

And honestly… this is the part of Deeply Rooted that means the most to me..

It’s me finally giving Congo the space on my table that I’ve been wanting to give it for a long time.

We’re getting close. 🤎🇨🇩

Rooted in Congo. Elevated in Tulum.

we’re setting up the table. 🌿🏽

And slowly, Deeply Rooted is coming to life.

A table rooted in Congo.
A menu inspired by home.
An intimate evening built around food, culture, connection, and intention.

For the first dinner, October 9th, I’m bringing you a four-course menu that’s familiar in spirit, but elevated in its presentation with mocktail pairings, curated sounds, and a few unexpected elements woven into the experience.

This is more than putting food on a table for me. It’s about creating space for Congolese culture to be experienced, shared, and celebrated in Tulum.

October 9th we meet at the table.
October 23rd, we do it again.

Rooted in Congo. Elevated in Tulum. 🤎

Head to our website and secure your seat at the table.

Tulum just got a new Supper club… 🇨🇩🌿

I’ve hosted the brunches. I’ve thrown the dinner parties. But this time, I wanted to create something that feels deeper.

Deeply Rooted is my invitation to experience Congo through food, culture, storytelling and connection bringing a piece of where I come from to the table here in Tulum.

If you’re looking for something beyond the usual Tulum experience, this is one to put on your calendar.

Pick your date. Meet me at the table.

📍 Tulum, Mexico
🇨🇩 Congolese-inspired dining

Life 💕 by @therealchefgee

Today, I let go.

For the first time, I was in the ocean without a life vest. At first, I held onto the raft, the thing I always reach for when fear tells me to be careful, to stay safe, to not trust myself.

But something in me said, let go. You don’t need it anymore. You’ve got this. And I’ve got you.

So I let go.

And there I was… treading water. No panic. No fear that my feet couldn’t touch the ground. Just me, floating, breathing, completely in my element.

I taught myself how to swim when I first moved to Mexico, but I still held onto the life vest out of comfort… out of a deeper habit of not trusting myself.

Not anymore.

This brought tears to my eyes because I’m realizing that learning to love myself also means learning to trust myself. To see myself for the Wonder Woman I’ve always been.

This was more than swimming. It was a reminder.

You are safe within yourself.
You are capable.
You can let go.
You’ve got this.

Love,
Past & Present Glodie 🤎

This is suicide prevention.
A reminder to keep choosing yourself, keep finding your way back to yourself, and keep going.
