NYC BAKERY RUN 2026 Would you run a half marathon for free pastries? Join us Sunday, October 25, for the NYC BAKERY RUN 2026—a half marathon through the city’s streets, fueled by croissants, cardamom buns, layer cakes, and plenty more. Every bite is on us. This year’s route leads straight into one of the city’s most celebrated dining rooms: three-Michelin-star @elevenmadisonpark, where runners will be seated for a pastry course before heading to the next stop. 100 runners will be selected via lottery. Spots are awarded in pairs, so grab a partner and start working up an appetite. SIGN-UPS ARE OPEN NOW: tipster.io/nyc/run @radiobakerynyc @lacabrabakery @elevenmadisonpark @libraebakery @fromlucienyc @altbaubakery @lappartement4f @hanisbakerynyc @elbowludlow @bysaison 13.1 MILES 100 RUNNERS NYC’S BEST BAKERIES 10.25.2026 by @tipsternyc
@piesnthighs has spent twenty years turning first-timers into regulars. Chef-owner @sarah.sanneh is still in the kitchen, the cornerstone recipes remain, and a second address brings the same Williamsburg-born appetite to Park Slope. Get the drop at tipster.io. by @tipsternyc
I ran the NYC BAKERY RUN on Sunday, just as I’ve run every BAKERY RUN we’ve held around the world. It’s a privilege to experience each one firsthand. People often tell me these runs are unlike anything they’ve experienced. They leave a big impression on me, too. Meeting people and seeing what the day means to them makes our work at TIPSTER tangible. New York makes it personal. I have lived here with my wife for nine years, and our children were born here. Copenhagen taught me to appreciate craft and intent. New York has shown me what becomes possible when people from different backgrounds come together. I’ve always wanted TIPSTER to be a place for people to discover food in ways they wouldn’t otherwise. The BAKERY RUN puts that idea on its feet: exploring a city, meeting the people behind its bakeries, and sharing something good with strangers who might become friends. More than 26,000 people entered this year’s lottery. We randomly selected 100 runners, with a small number of industry and media guests joining in addition. Knowing that something we’ve built resonates with so many people makes me proud. The connections made along the way give us every reason to keep going. The goal of the BAKERY RUN is to shine a light on the bakers doing exceptional work and bring them together. These are bakers whose work I admire and whose places I want even more people to discover. There’s room for everyone and plenty to gain from standing side by side. As a founder, I’ve always wanted to build something that makes a difference. On days like Sunday, I get to see that happen in conversations, new friendships, and people discovering places they’ll return to. Thank you to everyone who ran, baked, welcomed us, and helped make it happen—from the bakeries to @elevenmadisonpark. It meant a lot to share the day with you. @radiobakerynyc @lacabrabakery @libraebakery @fromlucienyc @altbaubakery @lappartement4f @hanisbakerynyc @elbowludlow @bysaison With gratitude, Simon by @tipsternyc
@atelierseptember defined how Copenhagen eats by day. On November 7-8, chef @frederikbillebrahe brings his café’s inimitable classics to @altbaubakery, the new bakery from @tartinebaker. November 7-8, 2026. Presale is live now on tipster.io/atelierseptember. by @tipsternyc
This November, @atelierseptember gets a New York address. by @tipsternyc
Before @fromkora had a storefront, it had a 10,000-person waitlist. Chef @kimberlymcamara and @__keviar built that following by selling Filipino-inspired doughnuts from their apartment. Their Sunnyside bakery, which opened last year, gives the crowd more to chew on. Sweet corn old-fashioneds, Spam-filled pain suisse, and spiced kabocha flan tarts join a colorful lineup that brings family recipes and fine-dining chops to a counter worth crossing boroughs for. @bysaison began with a garden that refused to stay outside. Sammy Rees spent five years turning its herbs, vegetables, and flowers into boxes of homemade treats, baked in her apartment and delivered across New York. In July, she traded the delivery rounds for a counter of her own. Fruit-laden cakes, scones, and frangipane tarts fill it with whatever the season does best. At @elbowludlow, baker @zoekanan brings fresh material to the Jewish American baking canon. Barley tea finds its way into bialys, and laminated challah becomes honey buns. Danishes bring paprika-peach and raspberry-plum jams together with sheep’s milk cheese, while sourdough black bread filled with crispy walnut butter, cream cheese, and dates proves that old New York is still full of new ideas. @hanisbakerynyc sends American bakery nostalgia through the minds of @mirouskokovic and @shilpauskokovic. Croissants come filled with roasted corn custard and blackberry jam or take a savory turn with paneer tikka. Brioche donuts pair fig leaf custard and fig jam beneath a dark chocolate glaze. Cinnamon buns, raspberry croissants, and kouign-amann draw a devoted crowd to @lappartement4f. Before the lines came a fourth-floor apartment, where @gautier_gaut and @ashleybernadette set out to bring a taste of France to their own kitchen. The couple has since brought the warmth of a neighborhood boulangerie to Brooklyn Heights and the West Village, and France has never felt closer. @tartinebaker is making his long-awaited New York debut with @altbaubakery. Inside a restored Williamsburg warehouse, a bakery and café will anchor the ground floor, while an upstairs mill and studio make space for an ongoing experiment in flour and fermentation. At @fromlucienyc, cakes look freshly gathered rather than decorated. French baker and founder Lucie Franc de Ferriere draws on a countryside childhood and an art history background to turn layers of cake and buttercream into edible still lifes. Herbs, fruit, and fresh flowers spill across the tops, making for the wildest bouquets in New York. Taste the city’s most recognizable cakes at the NYC BAKERY RUN 2026.
