The images you’ve seen tell my story:
I started my journey in Capoeira over 22 years ago.

Over time, I discovered that movement isn’t just physical—it’s emotional and mental too.

Today, I’m combining everything I’m learning
to create frameworks that help you exprince this in yourself by @tom.polonsky

Capoeira is so much more than just kicks, floreios, and takedowns—it’s a game of tactics, timing, and strategy. ♟️🔥
I had a great training session with @tom.polonsky 🙌, an amazing teacher and a player I highly respect. We drilled some of the strategic setups he teaches in his online courses—moves that I actually use a lot in my own game (if you know my page, you know 😅).
These techniques require a deep understanding of reading your opponent, managing momentum, and mastering the fine nuances of the standing game.
Which of the 4 setups is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏼

ובסיום הרצון ללמוד גדל taken in עין הים by @tom.polonsky

If not, your body might be stuck in freeze mode.

Here’s what happens:

Your reptilian brain detects stress → Your body locks up → Your emotions get stuck → You feel anxious, numb, or overwhelmed.

Solution? Movement.

• Shift your weight.

• Breathe deeper.

• Elongate.

• Let your body process what your mind can’t.

12 minutes of movement = emotional clarity.

Try it. Then share by @tom.polonsky

THE PRICE OF SUPPRESSED EMOTIONS

“Unspoken emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.” — Sigmund Freud

Read that again.

Most people don’t express how they *really* feel.
Not because they don’t want to—but because they were taught not to.

Vulnerability = weakness.
Anger = unacceptable.
Sadness = something to “get over.”

But emotions don’t just disappear.
They come back as:
 • Chronic stress
 • Physical tension
 • Unexplained pain
 • Explosive outbursts at the worst moments

—

HOW TO BREAK FREE

Scan Your Body → Tension = trapped emotions. Stretch, shake, move - release it.
Use Your Breath → Slow, deep inhales & exhales reset your nervous system.
Active Relaxation → Lay on the ground. Dance. Walk

If you don’t let it out—it will find a way out you won’t like. by @tom.polonsky

Most people struggle with back pain
because they don’t move as often as the body needs.

Lack of movement affects your mood —
and your mood shapes your behavior.

The solution?
Shorten the gap between waking up and moving.

Start with a simple morning movement practice
shift your mood with gratitude
set the tone for your day.

The Movement

1. Choose Your Position.
Sit at the edge of your bed, feet flat on the ground.
Or stand with feet hip-width apart, arms relaxed.

2. Bend Your Knees (if standing).

3. Lift Your Hands Diagonally Upward.

4. Lift Your Chin Diagonally.

5. Hold the Posture for Three Breath Cycles.

The Emotional Layer.

Think of a moment you feel grateful for.
A past memory or something you’re looking forward to.

For me,
waking up and spending the morning with my son
makes me feel privileged and lucky to have that time together.

As you hold the movement,
see it, hear it, feel it. by @tom.polonsky

Most of us don’t realize how much our emotional state
is shaped by automatic programs
defense mechanisms installed in us during childhood.

These “programs” are our brain’s way of protecting us,
but over time, they can turn into barriers that hold us back.
For years, I didn’t even know I was running on autopilot.

Awareness is the first step to breaking free.

You actually can manage your emotions,
and if you have a decent practice
you’ll be able to shift your emotional state anytime. by @tom.polonsky
