I am so proud of the team at @collarcitypride for having our inaugural Swann Ball this weekend where we were able to honor the legacy of William Dorsey Swann.

We had great music, great performances, great drinks and great vibes! It was amazing to see friends perform and then get to hit the dance floor to close out the night. I am grateful and humbled by the growth Collar City Pride has made since I joined the board, I cannot wait to see where we go from here!

If you weren't able to attend, make sure you mark your calendars for next year!

Two whirling weekends in a row! This time, it was heading to Salem, MA for the @fiberwitchfestival! It was nice getting in on Friday at 5pm instead of 9pm like last year. So we were able to get a nice dinner and stop in at @circlestitches and chat with some friends.

I did the trolley tour on Saturday morning and it was such a fun time! I love learning about history and I got to see multiple lighthouses. I did the afternoon market this year and grabbed the things I had planned to get, especially my teas from @midnightteasesalem. Then we poked around town and did more shopping. I was tired, so we got room service and I watched the Stars and Wild NHL playoff game after a long day of walking around the city.

Sunday was just breakfast, getting matcha and wandering around the Salem Flea Market before heading home to our very angry cat. I'm excited to have explored new places and see friends, but I am sad I didn't get to meet up with everyone I wanted to.

Another @thelittlewolfknits Wolfpack Retreat in the books. This time, we were at the Jersey Shore. It was so nice to relax with some of my favorite people in a beautiful setting. I started a new shawl project, visited a new yarn shop, bought books from a nonprofit book cooperative, did a lot of yapping. Four matchas in five days, now I need to find a local place that will make me ube matcha lattes. Plus, I got to watch two NHL playoff games while having fun!

I was lucky to have friends in possession of an extra ticket to last week's Heated Rivalry trivia at @iliumbrewing. I arrived anxious and ready to win. 😂

Our team, 9 Pounds of Clappable Material (iykyk), had 3 perfect rounds out of 4. I have not read the books, so I missed some in the book vs show round. I had to go participate in 3 sudden death tie breakers for our team and I won 2 out of 3. We were able to clinch the victory and win lots of swag, including really amazing cookies themed for the show.

I've loved being able to have such great conversations with people about queerness (especially queer joy), neurodivergence, and so much more since this show came out. I've also loved being able to use the HR hype to spread the gospel of Jacob Tierney and also getting more people to start watching Shoresy.

I haven't posted on main in a long time, this seemed like something to post for posterity.

I've been dealing with pretty rough tendonitis in my left shoulder for months now. It took me time to realize it was something not going away on its own, then getting in with ortho, then waiting another month to get in to see a physical therapy. Of course, I thought PT would be a magic fix, but it has not. I've made profess, but still have a lot of pain after a month of visits.

This has made it my worst year of knitting by far. I've barely finished anything and have several WIPs just sadly staring at me from across the room. Hopefully I can get back to it in another month or so.

I did sign up for the @tempestryproject before all this went down and I managed to get everything knit and blocked before the end of the year, but I will need assistance with the ends. This is the year 1930 and this project going to have 130 years of consistent temperature data collected at the Mohonk Mountain House.

I am so proud to have been involved in this project and I am so excited to see the finished display of all the knitted items. Hopefully the display will help educate a lot of people while also displaying so many talented knitters.

Incredibly thankful to have taken part in another photoshoot with @518fattiessocialclub, done with the absolutely amazing photographer @julesdelorenzophotography.

The weather was beautiful, the location was stunning, the people and the vibes were immaculate. I was so nervous when I arrived, but was put at ease immediately by some of the best people imaginable. I was also very excited to be able to wear two hand knits, my Oolong Tank by @aimeeshermakes and my Boxing Day Bonus Shawl by @bostonjen1.

Getting involved with the Fatties has been such an empowering experience and has gifted me such wonderful friendships. Being able to have literal art showcasing this is beyond a blessing. Never be afraid to try joining something new, you can find your people and parts of yourself you thought you had lost.

2025 was a rough year for a lot of people. I did my fourth collection for @hatsgiving through my job and it was a struggle this year. Overall we received 1391 hats, almost 600 less than last year. My knitting friends and I got 48 hats together, a bit less than half of last year. I'm not upset because even a single hat is going to help keep someone warm.

I knit a lot less this year because of injury and mental health. I know a lot of people have had similar struggles. People also had a lot of charities looking for knitted items, so they wanted to spread their support. I want to thank those of you who did take the time to donate. Those of you who donated in the past and couldn't this year, thank you for sending messages of support. Those of you who wanted to donate and couldn't for whatever reason, thank you for considering. Even having people keep me in mind to support each year is a huge blessing.

I'll be doing this again next year as well, so if you want to, keep me in mind for next year. I collect hats any time of year, but our main collection is August to mid November.

Crafters have been some of the most giving people I have ever known. I hope I am able to get more charity knits completed in 2026.

Rhinebeck Sunday is when I bring my husband and we meet up with our friends from high school and their people, but I still was able to chat with more yarn friends! Unfortunately, I missed seeing some friends, I wish I could've hugged everyone one more time!

My beautiful friend Melissa and longtime friend Mark brought their little to her first Rhinebeck and it was fun to see things through a little one's eyes. Our trip to see the sheep was so much more fun than usual.

My body did start giving up in the afternoon, so I wasn't able to get around as much as I would have liked. I might have to just fave the music and get a walker with a seat if I'm going to keep having these chronic issues.

Next year, I'd love to plan ahead of time to be able to meet up with people while they're in town outside of just the festival proper. Please hold me accountable and make plans!

Day one of Rhinebeck was such a whirlwind! I was lucky enough to have @talesofyarn to wait in line with and make my rounds to @ceces_wool and @stitchedbyjessalu before the crowds got bad. Finally getting to see @aimeeshermakes in person was great! If you have not checked out Aimee's designs, get on it!

I'm truly feeling humbled and blessed by the wonderful people the knitting community has brought into my life. @bostonjen1 was one of the first people I followed and joining in the Pigskin Party and her Patreon have helped me make great friends. Getting to see them in person is a joy.

I am also thankful for @thelittlewolfknits and @blametheknots and my Wolfpack friends. It can be tough to take my mask off and let myself just be sometimes, and this group has allowed me to do this with ease. This was my favorite Rhinebeck Saturday so far and it was all about the people I got to spend time with!

Another great year working for @indieuntangled! I love my crew at registration and I love all of the friends I got to see today. I forgot my mask and my knitting at home, but we made it work.

My body is worn out, but my heart is full. Excited to see even more friends tomorrow at @nysheepwool!

Such a fun night at the @ioov245 Jazz in July gala! Thank you to my beautiful friend @ms.jasmine.shea for the invite! I am so excited for the planned LGBTQ+ center that In Our Own Voices is planning to bring to the capital region.
