The group exhibition (co-curated by Andreas Steinbrecher) brings together new voices in contemporary painting, featuring Haien Choi, Lucas Kaiser, Hanna Kuster, Paul DD Smith, and Andreas Steinbrecher.

At its core is a renewed approach to pictorial composition—marked by a return to drawing and an expanded use of imagery (both everyday and iconographic), opening up new narrative possibilities for painting.

An accompanying essay, “A Crocodile Swimming in Deep Water” by Jorge M. Sanguino, reflects on the developments and emerging conditions of painting that become visible in the exhibition. taken in wildpalms by @wildpalms_store

Rachel Libeskind’s flags are exclusive limited edition screen prints.

Rachel Libeskind’s series What is a Flag? is based on a German publication from the 1930s about so-called “non-European” flags.

Libeskind uses these historical templates as an image archive—and subjects them to radical reduction: she removes all identifying signs, colors, and emblems. What remains are contours, outlines, pure forms.

The flag no longer appears as a national symbol, but as an abstract sign.

“Dissolution” by Nika Fontaine is a painting inspired by the alchemical process of dissolution, the transformative stage where water dissolves rigid forms and opens the way to renewal. In alchemy, dissolution follows calcination: after fire has broken down structures, water absorbs and softens what remains, symbolizing the surrender of the ego and the release into unconscious depths. Fontaine captures this duality through the fiery eruption above the surface mirrored by a radiant, star-like formation below the water. The glowing palette of coral, pink, and orange against oceanic blues conveys the merging of fire and water, matter and spirit, destruction and rebirth. The work invites viewers to contemplate impermanence, inner transformation, and the fluid passage from rigidity into flow. Bridging metaphysical symbolism and contemporary aesthetics, Dissolution reflects Fontaine’s unique exploration of alchemy, nature, and transcendence, making it a profound piece for collectors drawn to art of transformation and spiritual depth.

@felipecastel high spectrum photography reveals an unseen dimension of the vegetal world. By using full spectrum cameras that capture ultraviolet and infrared light, his images expose the invisible signals and volatile particles plants emit—particularly at night. These spectral photographs are not only aesthetic explorations but part of a deeper ethnobotanical inquiry into how plants communicate and protect themselves. Taken in collaboration with Indigenous communities and ecologists, the works invite viewers into an expanded sensory field where ancestral knowledge and cutting-edge technology converge.
