My first ever ‘professional’ writing assignment was an article about the Harry Potter movies when I was 16, and 20 (!!!) years later, writing about film is still such a joy ✨ so happy to have my essay ‘I Have You Inside Me Like a Disease’ (on Mia Hansen-Løve’s ‘Goodbye First Love’) published on the gorgeous @spectralfilmjournal

If you love feminist cinema, I highly recommend checking @jaclyn_bethany and @irene.frax’s new journal 🩵 by @yessicaklein

🔊 FROM A MERE NOISE — 26.09

What can happen from a mere noise?

On 26.09, we’ll be joined by Stephanie Fernandes, Gabriel Francisco Lemos and Regina Riveros for an evening of reading and conversation around sound, language and poetry.

Three different practices, three different ways of listening: to the city, to machines, to the body, to memory, to language itself.

Join us to discuss how sound and language interact and merge, what makes language material, and stay for a drink in between performances.

🔊26.09 — from a mere noise*
Doors open at 5.30pm / readings start at 6pm (in EN / PT / ES)
Späti Karl & Marx Berlin (S-U-Bahn Neukölln)
📍 Karl-Marx-Straße 221, 12055 Berlin

* Initiated within “Context – Staging Literature”, a project of Unabhängige Lesereihen (The Association of Independent Reading Series). Funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation).

I clocked zero hours of painting in July so here’s a random collection of 2026 so far ✨ featuring books, plants, sculptures (I guess I’m really into sculptors now), and the first painting job of the year.

And now, let’s get moving into eclipse season and realigning the priorities for the rest of the year. Tudo o que é meu vem me buscar! by @yessicaklein

favourites from the May haul in the studio ✨ worked on a lot more pieces for the sake of being in the flow and enjoying the process

1. a sentence from @julia.c.hansen’s astrology class back in January
2. no idea where I lifted this from, but not my sentence (feelings, on the other hand, absolutely)
3. a fun fact, and in another dimension, a very different witch

February was a slow month in the studio but at least there was a little poem ✨

love is a suburban cul-de-sac / a sign that says ‘end of the road’ / indulging in the vast female appetite for cruelty / all my hopes are hand-me-downs / split my brain with the blunt spear of love / I am tropically haunted by my rose-tinted eyesight
