A little late since it was published last week but thank you @kosmo_online for featuring me on the cover for Kosmo's AURA last week and thank you to journalist @sairulzamri for the invite and write up.
It's been a while since I have been on a cover but happy to share a bit more on my latest ventures, updates and my insights on recent events.

#throwback to media weigh ins in KL. Homeground, first time. I had just come off a big W in Dubai and slated to compete in KL.

Behind the media photos, what people didn't see was the risk I took to leave my corporate job before that match. 27yrs young, earning well at the point of my career, but I knew that I didn't just want to win fights/matches, I wanted to be a fighter. Competing at a level that required consistent dedication and focus. Truth be told, leaving my job and focusing full time to build my career in the sport was a big, scary step for me. It was uncharted waters, all I ever knew after graduating from college was working in sales & marketing and I was pretty good at it. After I tendered my resignation, I immediately focused on my camp, staying focused on what I needed to do to prepare, focused on the system my team and I built.
I won that match but the biggest Win for me was the ability to fight those doubts I've ever had on myself. #betonyourself

Listen to your own voice, your own soul. Too many people listen to the noise of the world, instead of themselves. Deep inside , you know what you want, let no one decide for you.

Someone once told me it takes guts to get glory.

That was early in my career, and those words have stayed with me ever since.

Looking back, I've taken some pretty big chances in life. From leaving my corporate career to pursue MMA professionally, to eventually building businesses and finding my place on the speaking stage and contributing to communities.

None of these transitions came with guarantees. There were doubts, challenges, and plenty of things I had to figure out along the way.

But one thing I've learned is that sometimes we limit ourselves before we even give ourselves a chance to find out what we're capable of.

And I think that's something many of us can relate to, regardless of where we are in life.

This Sunday, 18 October, I'll be joining other inspiring athletes at Fightfest Champion Summit 2026, where we'll be sharing our journeys, experiences, and lessons that go beyond martial arts.

I'll also be delivering my keynote, "Beyond the Fight: The Courage to Break Through," sharing some of the lessons that have shaped the way I approach challenges, opportunities, and change.

Whether you're a student, athlete, working professional, entrepreneur, or simply someone figuring out your next chapter, I hope you'll join us.

And if you're interested in getting some training in, Coach AJ Pyro and I will also be conducting an MMA and self-defense seminar in the afternoon.

In case you are wondering, participation is Free*, thanks to @nuhea.my for powering this event.
*Limited slots are available, so register by clicking the link on my bio or contact the awesome organizer @fightfestborneo.

Honored to be part of the Wira Kita event at Mitsubishi Motors EON Auto Mart KK @mitsubishi.eamkk.sabah and to share a little bit of my journey.

One of the questions I was asked was, “What drove you to be brave and strong in the cage?"

I think sometimes people assume that athletes don’t feel fear. We do.

I’ve felt nervous. I’ve felt anxious. I’ve felt the pressure that comes before performing on a big stage.

For me, courage was never about not being afraid. Courage was being afraid and still choosing to step forward.

And a lot of that courage came from preparation.

The hours of training. The repetition. Working with my coaches and teammates. Sharpening my skills over and over again until I could trust what I had prepared for.

I think the same applies outside the cage.

Sometimes we wait until we feel confident enough before we start something. But often, confidence doesn’t come first.

Action comes first.

You take the first step. You do it again. You learn. You improve. And little by little, you begin to trust yourself more.

Fear may still be there, but it no longer gets to decide what you do.

And that, to me, is courage.

Thank you to Mitsubishi Motors EON Auto Mart KK for having me at Wira Kita, and for giving me the opportunity to share this message with everyone who joined us.
