فيه أصوات بنسمعها كل يوم من غير ما ناخد بالنا منها؛ صوت الشارع، كلام الناس، أصوات الأماكن اللي بنعدي عليها، وحتى أصواتنا وذكرياتنا. لكن إيه اللي ممكن نكتشفه لما ندي الأصوات دي وقت ونسمعها بشكل مختلف؟

في ورشة "تكوين المشهد الصوتي"، هنستكشف مع تونيكا هانتر الأصوات اللي حوالينا، وجمعها وتجربة ترتيبها ودمجها لصناعة مشاهد صوتية جديدة. الورشة بتبدأ من المتاح لينا بالفعل، من غير الحاجة لآلات موسيقية أو خبرة تقنية مسبقة، وبتفتح مساحة للتجربة واكتشاف طرق مختلفة للتعبير من خلال الصوت.

Every day, we hear sounds we rarely stop to notice: the street around us, conversations, the places we pass through, even our own voices and memories. But what might we discover if we took the time to listen differently?

In From What We Have to Sound: Soundscaping Workshop, Tonica Hunter invites participants to explore the sounds around them, collect them, and experiment with arranging and layering them to create new soundscapes. Starting with what we already have, the workshop offers space to experiment with sound as a form of expression, with no musical instruments or prior technical experience required.

لأول مرة، مهرجان أفلام – سينما عوالم عربية، المقام سنويًا في مارسيليا بفرنسا، بيقدم مجموعة مختارة من برنامجه في المعهد الفرنسي في مصر، بالتعاون مع دي-كاف.

البرنامج بيسلط الضوء على حفظ وترميم أرشيف السينما العربية، وبيبدأ بعرض فيلم "أحلام صغيرة" لخالد الحجر بنسخته المُرممة حديثًا، لأول مرة في العالم العربي، يليه نقاش عن حفظ وترميم أرشيف الأفلام، ويُختتم بفيلم "غزل البنات" لجوسلين صعب، اللي بيتعرض لأول مرة في مصر.

الفعالية تقدم ضمن موسم البحر المتوسط ٢٠٢٦، المقدم من السفارة الفرنسية في مصر والمعهد الفرنسي في مصر، وبدعم من مؤسسة ساويرس للتنمية الاجتماعية.

For the first time, Aflam – Cinémas des mondes arabes brings a special selection from its Marseille festival to the French Institute in Egypt, in collaboration with D-CAF.

The program explores the preservation and restoration of Arab film archives, opening with Khaled El-Hagar’s newly restored Little Dreams, followed by a discussion on film archives, and concluding with Jocelyne Saab’s Ghazl Al Banat, premiering in Egypt for the first time.

This event is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026, presented by the Embassy of France in Egypt and the French Institute in Egypt, with the support of the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development.

⁨ ⁨ إزاي بتتشكل صورتنا عن فلسطين المعاصرة من خلال الحكايات الشخصية، ووجهات النظر من خارجها، والذاكرة الجماعية؟ من خلال الصحافة والأدب والتصوير الفوتوغرافي والسينما، بتجمع المناقشة بين لينا موجير، رئيسة تحرير مجلة “كوميتا”، والكاتب الفرنسي الفلسطيني اللبناني جاد هلال.

هتتناول المناقشة طرق مختلفة لسرد حكاية مكان وتاريخه والصور المتخيلة عنه، وإزاي الحكايات دي بتتكوّن وبتتنقل بعيدًا عن الصور النمطية المعتادة. ومن خلال تجاربهم وممارساتهم، هيفتح الحوار مساحة للتفكير في دور الحكي في تشكيل الذاكرة، وفهمنا

How is contemporary Palestine constructed through personal narratives, outside perspectives, and collective memory? Bringing together journalism, literature, photography, and cinema, this panel features a conversation between Lena Mauger, Editor-in-Chief of Kometa magazine, and Jadd Hilal, a Franco-Palestinian-Lebanese author.

Together, they will explore the many methods of narrating a territory, its histories, and its imaginaries, examining how stories are constructed and transmitted beyond conventional representations. Through their respective perspectives and practices, the discussion will reflect on the role of storytelling in shaping memory, understanding, and cultural imagination.

This event is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026, presented by the Embassy of France in Egypt and the French Institute in Egypt, with the support of the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development.

على مدار العشر سنين اللي فاتوا، شهدت الفنون الأدائية في المنطقة العربية وبين المجتمعات العربية في الخارج تغيرات وتطورات مستمرة. وفي إطار سعيها لفهم التحولات دي، كلّفت آفاق الكاتب والفنان والأكاديمي إدريس كسيكس بإعداد بحث معمّق عن الفنون الأدائية خلال العقد الأخير.

البرنامج مقسوم على جلستين. الجلسة الأولى هتتناول أبرز نتائج وتوصيات ورقة السياسات، بناءً على مسح ميداني متعدد المواقع والمحاور، أشرف عليه إدريس كسيكس بالتعاون مع باحثين وباحثات آخرين. أما الجلسة التانية، هيكون فيه نقاش مع الجمهور حول نتائج الدراسة وخلاصاتها، ومناقشة أبرز التوصيات اللي اتصاغت بالتعاون مع آفاق.

Over the past decade, the performing arts landscape across the Arab region and its diaspora has continued to shift and grow. To better understand these changes, AFAC commissioned a research paper led by writer, artist, and academic Driss Ksikes.

The program is divided into two sessions. The first will present and discuss the key findings and recommendations of the policy paper, drawing on a multi-sited, multi-issue survey conducted by Driss Ksikes in collaboration with other researchers. The second will open up a discussion with the audience around the study’s findings and explore key recommendations developed in collaboration with AFAC.

في أكتوبر ٢٠٢٣، انتشرت قصيدة الشاعرة الفلسطينية هند جودة "ماذا يعني أن تكون شاعرًا في زمن الحرب؟"، ومنها بدأت رحلتها مع عرضها المسرحي "غزة، أيها الفرح".

من خلال الشعر، بتشهد هند على الدمار اللي بتعيشه غزة، وفي الوقت نفسه تتمسك برغبة عنيدة في الحياة، وبفرحة لسه بتحاول تلاقي مكان وسط كل الحزن والوجع.

يأتي هذا العرض ضمن منصة "شاعرات"، وهي تجمع دولي ينتج عروض الشعر العربي منذ عام ٢٠٢٢. ويقدم ضمن موسم البحر المتوسط ٢٠٢٦، المقدم من السفارة الفرنسية في مصر والمعهد الفرنسي في مصر، وبدعم من مؤسسة ساويرس للتنمية الاجتماعية.

Written by Palestinian poet Hend Jouda, What Does It Mean to Be a Poet in War Time? went viral in October 2023, becoming the starting point for her one-woman show, Gaza, O’ My Joy.

Through poetry, Hend bears witness to Gaza’s devastation while holding on to a stubborn, undeniable will to live. A performance that moves through grief, darkness, and the fragile persistence of joy.

This performance is part of SHAEIRAT, a collective international platform that has been producing Arabic poetry performances since 2022, and is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026, presented by the Embassy of France in Egypt and the French Institute in Egypt, with the support of the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development.

إيه اللي نقدر نورّثه لغيرنا لما نفقد كل حاجة؟ من خلال ذكرياته عن الحروب المتتالية في غزة، بيحوّل الفنان الفلسطيني محمد القدوة في عرض "٣ فصول وجسد" تجربة المنفى والوجع لكلمات وحركة، باستخدام المزج بين المسرح والرقص والحكي والكاراتيه، بيحاول محمد يعبر عن الفقد، وذكريات الناس اللي سابهم وراه، وعن إزاي نقدر نحافظ على الذكريات دي وننقلها لغيرنا. من خلال الجسد والكلام، بيلاقي محمد طريقة يعبّر بيها عن حاجات صعب تتقال بالكلمات لوحدها.

What can we pass on when we have lost everything? Drawing on his memories of growing up through successive wars in Gaza, Palestinian artist Mohammed Al Qudwa transforms exile and pain into words and movement. Blending theatre, dance, storytelling, and karate, 3 Seasons and 1 Body explores the weight of loss, the memories of those left behind, and the struggle to keep them alive. Through body and language, Mohammed finds a way to express what words alone cannot.

This show is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 presented by the Embassy of France in Egypt and the French Institute in Egypt, with the support of the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development.

Through TULUN Mosque, Egyptian-French photographer and filmmaker Ayman Khoury offers a photographic vision of the oldest surviving mosque in Egypt, bringing together the grandeur of its architecture and the human and spiritual experiences that unfold within its walls. Through images capturing the simplicity of its structure, its intimate details, and the Sufi ritual of dhikr, Khoury explores the relationship between architecture, memory, and spirituality, revealing how places hold stories and emotions that extend beyond their physical form.
