2 years agoTotally overwhelming!!!, being new to the field, and new to the social media game as well. I miss the old school word of mouth ways. Of marketing oneself. I enjoy the inperson experience, connecting with others face to face, and the good'ol business card. That being said, if you are not in a metropolitan city and are up and comingI think Social media can help to connect with other like minded individuals and Loctitians. It's just the pressure of trying to produce continual content that is stressful to me.
3 years agoI like doing it and it’s still overwhelming. And yes ridiculous to expect more hours of unpaid work in a field like yours that is dominated by women. Boundaries. 2023 word of the year!
4 years agoEarly on it was craigslist, Facebook, and word of mouth... And it was so easy compared to what we have to do now to stay relevant and seen!!! I'm so grateful I got into it before this craziness but feel bad for the folx just starting out 😒
4 years agoyou are not alone and i feel for those who are just starting out and feel they need to do all of this for their businesses from the jump.
4 years agoLol, I know I'm overwhelmed. I love the days of just handing out my cards, which I still do. Now I gotta keep up with the changing social media platforms. Just when I figure out one they come up with a new one 🤦🏾♀️
