Fetteresso Forest Marathon
3rd place - 3:06:05 🥉
One week removed from my first race of the year and I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting over the last week. It usually involves asking myself whether I could have pushed a bit harder here, done a certain section a bit differently, or did I take enough gels, water, and electrolytes, and so on. You know what I’m talking about. I’m my own worst critic.
However, this race was different and for the very first time, I look back with only positive feelings. I am super proud of how I ran. My most accomplished race to date. I raced hard, made a move that stuck, and kept pushing until the finish line. This is also my justification as to why you’ll see a picture in there of me celebrating a 3rd place, ha!
Great to race with lots of familiar faces and share the podium with @caiden_th.m, and @trstraining who both smashed it. Thanks as always to those involved in putting on the race, the marshals and volunteers for being out there in the cold, to my mate @jaydenlarkins_ for coming by to support (and babysit), and to @emmaalindie for the never ending belief.
Next up, D33. We go again in 4 weeks. 👊🏻
