Can’t tell you how confusing it is as a baby Christian reading the Gospels to discover Christian nationalism…is it me or is it not what Jesus would do?!

As a Christian our commons is Christ. Irrelevant of race. I have a blood brother who is a Muslim. I have more in common with a Christian of another race than him. That is what scripture says. But I sometimes feel the case is the opposite due the the colour of my skin. That chant Christ is King actually scares me for the sake of my two boys.

One of Jesus' disciples was a Zealot. The Zealots were the Nationalists of that day, dedicated to the overthrow of the Romans. In The Chosen, the first thing Jesus did when He called Simon was to throw away his dagger. Simon had to learn that the Zealot way of doing things wasn't Jesus' way.
