Two months ago, I came across a video that I couldn’t stop thinking about.

A young girl was being married off, and all I could ask myself was: Does she even know what’s happening?

That moment became the seed for BEFORE THE VEIL.

Rather than tell people what to think, I wanted to place the audience in the victim’s position—to experience what it feels like when decisions about your life are made without your voice.

Every symbol, every silence, every frame was intentional.

I was warned against making this film. I was told it could affect my career because some conversations are uncomfortable. I was scared too. But I believe stories should start conversations that matter.

BEFORE THE VEIL follows a young girl whose dream of becoming an air hostess is cut short when she’s forced into marriage.

This is one of my most personal films yet, and I’m deeply grateful to every single person who believed in the vision and helped bring it to life.
