We’re getting into it this season! We’re wrapping up this wonderful year with an offering that will support you in your journey to connect with your ancestors and honor your lineage of loved ones.
🗿
Join Kristin and I Wednesday, November 18th from 5:30-8:00pm at NY Folklore on 129 Jay St. This is a small, intimate and rich gathering, where folks will bring a couple of supplies to start their ancestor altar and take home some pieces for a travel altar.
🗿
Space is limited, please register at www.nyfolklore.com>events OR on eventbrite by searching Ancestral (http://tinyurl.com/ancestral-altar)

Ya girl is back from 10 days of Vipassana silent meditation in the woods. It was a very rigorous and intense sit, one of the most willingly challenging experiences I’ve chosen to date. I’ve come back with much gratitude and much hope for this precious life.
And a deeper attunement to stillness and silence 💫

A little word from yours truly…it’s important for me to always speak a little to why the heck I do this yoga and meditation and herbalism and doula thing…how did I get here? And why it’s important and significant, how has it helped me? How can it help you?

To be honest, these practices keep me being able to do this thing called life. They are my spiritual and energetic preparation for cleaning my house, or having a hard conversation, or a long 8 hour work day. And they cultivate a fortitude for the grief, the heart break, the suffering that just comes from being human.
.
.
.
What I share here, is what keeps me going, in my faith, in my growing, in my vulnerability, in my forgiveness, in my learning on how to expand into loving consciousness.

I hope that you have and are on your way to finding your practices because that’s what the world needs most 🙏🏽✨

Documentation of our date night experience at the new @kitchen216troy restaurant in Troy NY!
This is my favorite soul food spot in the 518.
I am not on the promotion team. I had to share this one.

I’m still posting beautiful memories we made last weekend at our Women’s Wellness Day Treat ✨❤️✨ What a beautiful energy it was 🌸 I’m still riding the waves we created 🌊 by @starwomban

The beauty of women dancing
Their voices carried in the wind
Their joy held up by eachother
The scars that we all bear
The wounds that we’ve licked
Suddenly fade away
Becoming the ground underneath our feet 🍄‍🟫
The rocks and the boulders we’ve moved 🪨
we step on with bare toes
extending us into the sky ☁️
Taller to reach the sun
And place that light into our wombs🌞
To carry the sunshine and the moonwater for our children, our sisters, our mothers and grandmothers 👶🏽👧🏽👵🏽

Shine.Pretty Woman.Shine✨

Thank you for your gravity that holds this world together 🌌

Our Women’s Wellness Day Treat was nothing short of amazing! It was so beautiful to celebrate and connect with our village! My heart is so full 💝✨
🌸
We started with a silent meditative walk led by Kristin. We ate some nourishing snacks together to fill us up for Ashley’s somatic dance and movement, where we practiced our affirmations for our sacred NO! Then we meditated by the Mohawk River, kissed by the radiant sun ☀️ while we held ourselves and poured vibrant colors into our womb space; our creative center.
🌸
We ended with a drumming circle honoring the great cosmic mother, where we danced together in our red scarves exalting the feminine and sealed our container with a rhythm to Eshu to close our circle 🪘
🌸
This was truly a dream come true! The women cleaned house on my herbal hibiscus and chai tea, the vegan chili I prepared, and the intentional gummies curated by @eatonbotanicals
🌸
Thank you to @ywca_neny and @eatonbotanicals for being sponsors of this wonderful event! We are looking forward to continuing our collaboration together!
