On 16 October from 6 p.m., @tranzitsk presents More than 20 Years of @tranzitorg, an evening bringing together engagement with the tranzit.sk archive and the launch of the tranzit 20+ book, as an accompanying programme of the Weaving Space. FSP International Solidarity Festival @feminist_spatial_practices

Editors @floragado and @boriborbalasoos, together with tranzit.sk director Judit Angel, will ask how a book can become a spatial and intersectional feminist practice—through its multivocality, non-linear narrative, and spaces for dialogue, resistance, vulnerability and transformation it creates.

The evening opens with Norbert Kuki’s @saint.lambo VAKER / SPEAK, a lecture-performance drawing on the tranzit.sk archive and exploring Roma experience through storytelling and micro-histories.

We mourn the passing of Boris Marte
Boris Marte (1964–2026) was a visionary figure who spent many years working in Austrian cultural policy before joining ERSTE Bank’s sponsorship department. In this role, he played a crucial part in establishing the @tranzitorg network and remained a dedicated advocate for its existence and development over many years. He was also instrumental in building the ERSTE Foundation, which has made countless important cultural, educational and social initiatives possible.

The international art world has lost an exceptional advocate and a committed supporter of art and culture. We deeply miss him. by @tranzitorg

An ambitious undertaking of @tranzitiasi 👀 Spanning six days, from 22 to 27 July 2026, the programme of the international gathering “Imagined Organisations. Practices of Artistic Research Moving Across Semiperipheries” moved across three locations in two countries — Iași (Romania), Chișinău and Măcărești (Republic of Moldova)— bringing together artists, curators, and theorists from across the region and beyond. Participants exchanged practices and perspectives on how artistic organisations are responding to the transformative impact of artistic research. Take a look at photos by @v.hincu and @denisii

@tranzitiasi is a non-state institution run by a curatorial duo, dedicated to contemporary artistic practice, cultural research, and collaboration. Its program spans exhibitions, lectures, debates, workshops, screenings, publications, and other experimental projects. At its core are the new commissions — artist books, artworks, and other formats — conceived as tools for knowing and understanding our present, connecting the local scene with wider international networks. @tranzitiasi was founded in 2012 as part of tranzit.ro, alongside Bucharest and Cluj. taken in Tranzit.ro/iasi by @tranzitorg

𝐿𝒶/𝑔𝑜𝑜/𝓃—a performance in which bodily boundaries become fluid, opening associative spaces for other forms of living. Moving between fascination and discomfort, empathy and abjection, the work invites audiences to navigate freely through a shifting field of sculptural, landscape-like, and processual intensities.

Performance took place at the tranzit 20+ in Venice event on May 9, 2026
