🌍 From yesterday’s debate in Westminster, @jacobcolliermp, @afzalkhanmcr, @carladenyer and @simonforstroud discuss the public health crisis caused by fossil fuels, the need for a ban on advertising and sponsorship from these companies, and the fact that deaths from air pollution and other effects of climate breakdown outnumber the deaths from smoking.
🚬 Just like tobacco ad ban before it, this is the best outcome for public health.

I’m all for banning fossil fuel advertising, but it isn’t the advertising that is killing people. Surely given all the evidence presented re how harmful fossil fuels are, why aren’t these people advocating drastic reductions in the use of fossil fuels??
