Phreeagent Creative Media

Phreeagent Turns One (And I Almost Missed It)

Turns out, our anniversary passed without me even realizing—until @linkedin started sending me congrats messages and people began reaching out. That’s when it hit me: Phreeagent Creative Media just turned one, and at the same time, I’ve officially been in video production for 20 years.

Back in 2005, I started as a producer at Ace Film Company, and co-founded Ocean Media BC with @darkosikman in #Vancouver. After moving to the Okanagan and working with Sproing for almost a decade, I started Phreeagent last year. Since then, I’ve had the chance to collaborate on all kinds of projects, with amazing people. And now, leading Phreeagent in Vernon, BC, I get to continue doing the kind of work I love—with the kind of clients who truly get it.

It’s been a packed and rewarding first year.

Some highlights from Year One:

💫Edited the documentary @horsewomandoc , produced for TELUS @storyhive with artist @mariel_belanger Belanger MFA @sienna.belanger

Worked with the @freshoutlookfoundation twice, documenting their C.A.R.E. events and climate action work by our local students

Produced brand and podcast content for clients including @ultradeckflooring @cabin_works_ @sascufinancialgroup @cityofvernon @intimate.wellbeing @transistor.fm @feedyoursoul_podcast @wesmontgroup @lekkerlanddesign and many more

Collaborated with @cfnokanagan and @bepurppl on a local impact video tied to the documentary screening of @uncharitablemovie Movie

Nominated for Best New Business by the @greater_vernon_chamber —a huge honour in our first year

And yes, we still managed to have fun on set—because when people feel comfortable and confident, the best stories come out naturally.

Grateful, Always

To every client, partner, and creative we’ve worked with—thank you.

To @randi.lynnmarie Buerfeind — our drone pilot/videographer/photographer and steady force behind the scenes—couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you @permiekeli Westgate and Ben for your love and support.

And to everyone who’s messaged, shared, or supported us this past year: we see you and appreciate you.

THANK YOU! ❤️
