DON'T MOVE THE FOUNTAIN was exhibited last year at both @viennadesignweek and @dutchdesignweek, and was the collective baby of the 24/25 class of Contextual Design MA students πππππ§βπΌπ₯Ή
The title was a nod to the concurrent sentiment we shared at the time <DON'T MOVE THE SCHOOL> when @designacademyeindhoven was nearly relocated OUT of Eindhoven βοΈπΆ
For this installation (spearheaded by Viennese hotshot & ringleader @wimmrue ππ«‘), we dispersed into groups & each crafted a unique fountain head π²πͺβ²οΈ
My DREAMTEAM consisted of @jonghoo.jeong & @baidageorge π« Over the summer, we foraged scrap materials from our home countries, then breathed new purpose and narrative by collaging them together, then encrypting a message. In it's fullness, it would've read: "πππ ππ ππππππ ππ πππππ ππ ππππ πππ ππππππ. πππ πππ ππππππππππ.. ππ πππππ ππππππ ππππππππππ... ππ πππππππ πππππ ππππππ ππ πππππ ππππππ ππ πππππ ππ ππππ πππππ." - ππ¨ππ’ππ¬ π¨π πππππ«, ππ¬ππ«π’ππ πππ’π¦ππ§π’π¬
Around us is often too much noise, destruction. We need more than ever reparation, reconstitution, and a belief that even from rubble, water and new life can still spring. πΏπ§
