Thank you,
@abc13houston and
@brittwilmore for allowing us to share about our present-day collaboration! We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between The Black Man Project, The Black Woman Project
@theblackwomanproject_ ,
@mfahouston , and Kehinde Wiley’s “Archeology of Silence” exhibition. This collaboration brings critical mental health initiatives to the forefront:
• Group Therapy Sessions led by
@brick_citi_buddha • Monthly Morning Meditations led by
@_mindfulmuscle • Bi-Monthly Youth Workshops led community artist
Our efforts are responding to an urgent need, highlighting the importance of supportive spaces tailored to the Black experience. We’re tackling the barriers to accessing therapy, whether due to financial constraints, lack of access, or stigma.
we’ve also partnered with
@tarajiphenson Foundation
@blhensonfoundation to offer free therapy sessions, making mental health support more accessible. Additionally, our “Healing Forward” vehicle (funded by
@houstonequityfund ) is set to provide direct mental health resources to at-risk communities, focusing on empowering our youth through haircuts, meaningful conversations, and a curriculum designed for their needs.
Together, we’re fostering a culture of healing, resilience, and empowerment. Stay with us for more updates!
