Our closing night celebration of Enduring Colors was filled with joy, hope, and connection. ❤️
We gathered to create paintings rooted in Palestinian and Lebanese culture, alongside collages inspired by Jaffa’s oranges. Our friends at @bahibrews custom-made lattes and lemonades inspired by Libyan and Algerian cultures and flavors, perfectly complementing the za’atar and manakish from @sabaskitchenoc.
We are eternally grateful to @pcrf_laocie , @marvistavoice , and @asian_youthcollective for tabling, sharing resources, and creating meaningful ways for our guests to take action.
Once again, @yarakhalifeh12 from @mawtinichoir blew us away with her beautiful voice, while singer-songwriter @alianna.tv Alianna inspired us with her songs of hope.
We heard from @calstatela Latin American Studies Professor Alex Villalpando about the importance of genocide studies and awareness, the interconnectedness of our struggles, and collective liberation.
@salamisarah shared her monologue, moving us while connecting us through laughter. Her genuine presence, passion, and authenticity are what make Enduring Colors shine.
@thedudewiththeoud energized us through his live performance, @sofia_naseem created beautiful henna designs, and @thezaatarkitchen brought authentic flavors of the Levant to our community. Through her handmade candles centered around Palestinian culture, @yummacandleco Dina’s light emanated throughout the night.
We closed with gallery conversations featuring @weeda.art @akramfrompalestine and @salamisarah , exploring how art and liberation intersect across human rights issues, from gender-based violence to medical evacuation and treatment.
To our children in the show, not only have you changed our lives and touched our hearts, but you’ve brought us together and reminded us of what truly matters, the power of community and our collective humanity. Loving and knowing you will always be the greatest honor.
And to Gabe, owner of Midnight Books Los Angeles, thank you for always believing in Enduring Colors and cultivating this vibrant community.

Your efforts to share the artwork of the children of Gaza and give them a voice to tell their stories and express both their joy and their pain are truly beautiful. This is such a meaningful initiative, especially in helping children cope with the trauma and PTSD they have endured. Happy to be part of it and look forward to supporting your next project. ❤️
